This warranty is limited to Who Bathroom Warehouse Pty Ltd (“Who Bathroom Warehouse” or “the manufacturer”) products, and does not extend to external or third party products. By purchasing the Who Bathroom Warehouse products for residential use, the purchaser (“you”) agrees to be bound by the warranty terms. 1. Warranties The manufacturer extends to the original consumer the following warranties: 1.1. “Tapware” referred to herein, more specifically refers to products, which control the flow of water by way of ceramic disk cartridge, ceramic disk valve or jumper valve. The manufacturer warrants that its Tapware products are free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for three (3) years from date of purchase, unless stated otherwise in documentation supplied with the relevant products. 1.2. All other associated products that do not control the flow of water, including but not limited to, shower heads, rails & hoses, bath and basin outlets, drain grates, baths, spa baths, vanity cabinets, tops, basins and toilet suites and shower screens are covered by a one (1) year warranty from date of purchase, unless stated otherwise in documentation supplied with the relevant products. 1.3. Where a separate document exists, or is supplied, those terms govern the use of the relevant products. 1.4. The manufacturer will replace at its discretion and after inspection by its representative, during the warranty period, any part or finish that proves defective in material and/or workmanship under normal residential installation, use and service. 1.5. This warranty is limited to replacement of all defective parts and finishes. The purchaser must at his or her own expense return to the retailer, or to an office of Who Bathroom Warehouse, the defective goods or parts with proof of purchase. 1.6. Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) from the original consumer purchaser must be made available for all warranty claims. 1.7. Some Who Bathroom Warehouse products may also require a plumber’s installation certificate, along with proof of purchase. Where a plumber’s installation certificate is not required, the purchaser must observe strict adherence to proper installation and use instructions contained within this document, or supplied with the relevant products; otherwise, the warranty may be void (see Part 4 for further details on Voided Warranties). 1.8. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, alterations, misuse, abuse, normal wear and tear, lime deposits, rust stain, corrosion and surface pitting due to exposure to salty air or corrosive materials, or colour change that takes place with the passage of time, or use in any manner contrary standard residential use. 1.9. Normal wear and tear includes the degradation over time of the relevant product when used as directed and for residential use. 1.10. In the case of in-the-wall installations, the manufacturer or its retailers do not assume liability if there is no access for the repair or replacement of product. 1.11. Nothing in this warranty is intended to exclude, restrict or limit your rights applicable by law. 1.12. To the fullest extent permissible by applicable law, and subject to any express written agreement, the manufacturer or its retailers will not be liable for labour costs, third party goods replacement costs or damages claims of any kind, incidental or consequential incurred during or subsequent to installation, repair, or replacement, as well as any other kind of loss or damage caused by defective products.
2. Maintenance Proper care of your quality bathroom products should ensure many years of trouble-free operation. 2.1. Chrome plated and high gloss surfaces should be regularly cleaned with a damp soft cloth. Mild liquid detergent or soap and water can also be used for stubborn dirt if necessary. 2.2. Some water supplies may contain sediments, which can build up in Tapware aerators. It may be necessary to occasionally remove aerator and clean with a soft bristle toothbrush. 2.3. Periodic lubrication of the Pop-Up wastes will assist with trouble free operation. Unscrew the cap and apply lubricant to the brass mechanism. Vaseline, Motor oil, Sewing Machine Oil, CRC or even olive oil are all suitable lubricants. 2.4. Some areas such as beachside suburbs have a high airborne salt concentration. Regular cleaning of surfaces is essential to prevent corrosion.
3. Important precautions: 3.1. Use of these certain products may cause irreparable damage to the products and must be avoided: 3.1.1. Do not use cleaning agents containing acid, bleach, ammonia or scouring agents such as cream cleaners; and 3.1.2. Do not use abrasive scouring pads. 3.2. Water in some parts of Australia may contain higher than usual PH or mineral contents. 3.2.1. Do not allow water to come into prolonged contact with product surfaces; and 3.2.2. Wipe down after each use. 3.3. MDF and chipboard used in our products are all water resistant and coated to help prevent water ingress. However constant contact with water will cause swelling and in turn damage the product. It is essential that preventative measures be taken to prolong the life of your product. 3.3.1. Vanity cabinets should be sealed around all edges with a quality silicone sealant to ensure water cannot get behind or under the cabinet; 3.3.2. Do not allow water to be in prolonged contact with timber-based products such as cabinets, cupboards, drawers and cabinet kick plates; and 3.3.3. Wipe down after each use.
